Point Off View, collaboration with Marina Testino

新一代藝術家謝高元跨領域與年輕時裝設計師Marinia Testino合作，結合藝術與時尚在安迪沃霍的工作室首次發表今年最新品牌“Point Off View”。

The opening reception was held in Andy Warhol’s former studio in Soho, 76 Wooster St, New York. There were served with delicious Peruvian foods, drinks and fancy cocktails, it seemed like back to Andy Warhol’s 60s party.

這場開幕舉辦在安迪沃霍以前的工作室，地點位於紐約繁華的蘇活區一個充滿藝術氣息與潮流時尚的地段。現場還有秘魯贊助商提供的精緻秘魯點心以及各式各樣的調酒及飲料，彷彿回到60年代安迪沃霍舉辦的藝術饗宴。

This opening reception was featuring my latest installation “Follow me”. It was both the first thing that came into James’ dream and his first impression of New York when he just came to the city to study. Watching people walking fast on the street as if everyone was running out of time and transporting through the subway underground, James immediately related this phenomenon to ant’s colony.

在這場展覽裡，謝高元展出他的最新裝置作品“跟著我”。創作概念來自於每天看到曼哈頓忙碌的街道上，行人的行走速度飛快猶如分秒必爭一樣，匆忙的走向地下室搭乘地鐵穿梭在曼哈頓的地底，讓他馬上聯想到螞蟻的生態，而螞蟻也是他第一個在紐約夢見的生物。

In James’ childhood memory, ants were the most common insects in his grandfather’s garden, their presence were ubiquitous. James used to following the ant trail and wondered where were they going. He always found surprises when followed them to their destination and watching them carrying their food that ten times bigger than their tiny body.

在謝高元的童年回憶裡，螞蟻曾經是隨處可見的昆蟲，遍佈在祖父菜園的每一個角落裡。謝高元總是因為好奇而一路跟隨著螞蟻們，想知道這一長排整齊隊伍要去哪裡。而跟著螞蟻的隊伍總是能發現意外的驚喜，在隊伍的終點看見螞蟻們在搬運著比自己體型還大數倍的各種食物以及獵物。

Marina wants to collaborate with artist in her future collection. Combining fashion and art and create more possibility in her “Point Off View”.

設計師Marina Testino未來想和不同的藝術家合作，將藝術結合時尚創造更多可能性，呈現不同的”Point Off View”。

Marina的叔叔Mario Testino是時尚界非常有名的攝影師，為Vogue雜誌拍攝許多封面以及各大奢侈品牌的廣告宣傳，開幕當晚也特地出席為Marina的最新品牌做宣傳給予鼓勵與支持。

Marina’s latest collection “Point Off View” edition zero was displayed beside the entrance. Each jacket has unique sentences embroidered on it to express different mood and emotion that are difficult/embarrassed/shy to speak out. In her future collection, there will be more and diverse “Point Off view” collaborating with artists.

現場也有販售Marina品牌Point Off View最新服飾提供試穿，還有專業攝影師替每一位試穿者拍照，彷彿每一位穿上的人都會變成焦點。每一件衣服都有獨特的話語刺繡，呈現出平時不好意思、難以啟齒的內心話，穿在身上即便說不出口還是能夠表達出來。在未來的新服飾裡，將會與藝術家聯名合作呈現出更多不同及多元的Point Off View.

Marina wants to have long-term collaboration with the selected artists. There will be an interview for each artist and a short film of the artist’s creative moment to briefly introduce his/her working progress on the pointoffview.com

設計師Marina打算和藝術家們長期合作，並在短期間內將為每一位合作藝術家錄製一段訪談，介紹藝術家的創作理念跟創作過程，影片和訪談將會發布在”Point Off View”的官方網站。
